This is the direct, objective measurement.<\/p><p><strong>TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)<\/strong> is a converted estimate of the total dissolved substances in ppm. The meter converts the EC value to TDS.<\/p><p>For the most accurate results, we recommend looking mainly at the EC value and calibrating with a conductivity standard.<\/p><h2>How do you calibrate the TDS\/EC meter?<\/h2><ol><li>Always use a fresh conductivity standard (e.g. 1413 \u00b5S\/cm).<\/li><li>Follow the calibration instructions of the meter.<\/li><li>Never pour used standard back into the bottle.<\/li><\/ol><p>Calibrate regularly for the most accurate results. Store the meter dry.
