Batteries 4\u00d7 LR44 included.<\/p>\n<h2>Calibrating the pH meter GT-500PH<\/h2>\n<p>This pH meter has automatic calibration. The device itself guides you through the calibration procedure. Always calibrate before first use and regularly after that, so that the pH value is correct.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold the CAL button down for 5 to 6 seconds to start the process.<\/li>\n<li>Always start with <a href=\"\/en-ie\/buffer-solutions\/ph-buffer-solution\/ph-7\/\">pH 7<\/a>, then <a href=\"\/en-ie\/buffer-solutions\/ph-buffer-solution\/ph-4\/\">pH 4<\/a> and then <a href=\"\/en-ie\/buffer-solutions\/ph-buffer-solution\/ph-10\/\">pH 10<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Briefly pressing CAL switches between the values during calibration.<\/li>\n<li>For the most accurate measurement, calibrate at 3 points: pH 7, pH 4 and pH 10. Rinse the sensor between the points with clean water. Demineralised water may be used for rinsing, never for storage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Store the meter with the protective cap. Add a few drops of <a href=\"\/en-ie\/buffer-solutions\/kcl-storage-solution\/\">KCl storage solution 3 mol\/l<\/a> so that the sensor does not dry out.<\/p>\n<h2>Which buffer solution do you use for the GT-500PH?<\/h2>\n<p>The meter recognises pH 7.00, pH 4.01 and pH 10.01. Those are exactly the values of our pH 7, pH 4 and pH 10 buffer solution.<\/p>\n<h2>At how many points do you calibrate the GT-500PH?<\/h2>\n<p>If the meter is new or has not been used for a long time, calibrate at 3 points.
