With the right care, however, you can extend its service life considerably.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Calibration:<\/strong> Calibrate every new ORP probe when you first use it, then as often as the manual of your controller requires. Most swimming pool controllers ask for <a href=\"\/en-ie\/buffer-solutions\/orp-buffer-solution\/orp-475mv\/\">475 mV<\/a>. ORP calibration solution is corrosive: no longer in the solution than necessary, then rinse.<\/li><li><strong>Cleaning:<\/strong> A dirty probe is the most common cause of inaccurate measurements.
