Buffer solutions pH 7, pH 10 and 475 mV

Reliable water quality in your swimming pool starts with a correctly calibrated and maintained pH probe and ORP probe. This pack of buffer solutions contains the five solutions you need for that, each in a bottle of 60 ml. pH buffer solution is also called pH calibration solution.

• pH 7 — the neutral starting point. Usually the first calibration point in the swimming pool.
• pH 10 — the alkaline point for calibrating the pH probe.
• 475 mV — the point most swimming pool controllers ask for, for the ORP probe and chlorine control.
• Cleaning solution — removes grease, algae and deposits. Clean before you calibrate, max. 15 minutes.
• KCl storage solution 3 mol/l — use this to fill the protective cap of the pH probe or ORP probe. Never demineralised water, never dry.

Calibrate first with pH 7, then pH 10. Never pour used solution back into the bottle. Follow the manual of your dosing system.

Buffer solutions with pH 10: when do you choose it?

Choose this pack if the manual of your dosing system asks for pH 7 and pH 10, plus 475 mV for the ORP probe. The solutions fit most swimming pool controllers, including Sugar Valley, Hayward, Zodiac, AstralPool, Bayrol, Seko and Kripsol.

How to use the 60 ml bottles

The neck of the bottle is wide enough for your pH probe or ORP probe. With one bottle you can calibrate several times, as long as the solution does not become contaminated. For cleaning solution and KCl storage solution, pour some solution into a separate beaker and let the probe soak in it. If your probe has been stored dry, place it overnight in KCl storage solution 3 mol/l.
