The Meytec NXG-PH probe with BNC connector, 12 mm diameter and 3 metre cable. The probe delivers stable and precise readings for a wide range of applications: swimming pool, aquarium, hydroponics, brewing, water treatment…

This pH probe is compatible with Sugar Valley, Hayward, Zodiac, AstralPool, Bayrol, Hanna, Milwaukee, Seko, Avady, Mettler, JBL and Bluelab, among others. Check that your device has a BNC input and accepts a 12 mm probe.

Maintaining and calibrating the NXG-PH probe

A pH electrode is a sensitive sensor. With the right care you extend its service life considerably.

• Always store the pH probe in the protective cap, filled with KCl storage solution 3 mol/l. Never in demineralised water, never dry.
• Clean the pH probe with cleaning solution to remove deposits, max. 15 minutes. Do this before you calibrate. Rinse afterwards.
• Calibrate the pH probe when you first use it and regularly after that. First pH 7, then pH 4 or pH 10. Follow the manual of your meter or dosing system.

Installing the NXG-PH probe

The NXG-PH is resistant up to 4 bar and 80 °C. Do not run the BNC cable right next to heavy power cables: the measuring signal is sensitive to interference. Salt crystals on the protective cap on delivery are normal: rinse them off with clean water.

Calibration not working?

If calibration does not work, first try fresh buffer solution. If the probe has been stored dry, first place it overnight in KCl storage solution 3 mol/l. If it still does not work, replace the probe.
