pH 7 buffer solution 250 ml for calibrating pH probe and pH meter

This pH 7 buffer solution 250 ml is a calibration solution with pH 7.00 at 25 °C. Use the solution for two-point calibration of a pH probe or pH meter, preferably together with pH 4 or pH 10. This way you set the neutral point and an acidic or alkaline point. Close the bottle tightly after use and note the opening date; buffer solutions remain stable but do not keep indefinitely after opening. The lot number and shelf life are on the label. This buffer solution is also called pH calibration solution.

• Never calibrate directly in the bottle.
• Pour a small portion into a clean glass or beaker.
• For the calibration process itself, always read the manual of your pH probe, pH meter or dosing system carefully.
• Never pour used buffer solution back into the bottle.

Your meter asks for pH 7.01: can you use pH 7.00?

Yes, in 99 % of applications. The difference of 0.01 is smaller than the precision of a standard pH meter or pH probe. Only for a laboratory with a very accurate measuring instrument do we recommend pH 7.01. Our pH 7.00 buffer solution is made and correct at 25 °C.

Storing pH 7 buffer solution 250 ml

Store the buffer solution in its original, tightly closed packaging, cool and dry at 15–25 °C, protected from frost and direct sunlight, and away from strong acids or oxidising agents.
