KCl storage solution 3 mol/l 250 ml for pH probe and ORP probe

A pH probe or ORP probe that is stored dry loses sensitivity faster and can be damaged beyond repair. KCl storage solution 3 mol/l 250 ml keeps the glass membrane and the reference conditioned. Fill the protective sleeve or storage cup with this solution and put the electrode back after every measurement. This keeps the response time short and the reading stable, even after weeks of non-use. Do not use demineralised water or buffer solution as a storage medium — only KCl 3 mol/l.

Has your probe been stored dry?

Place a pH or ORP electrode that has been stored dry in KCl storage solution 3 mol/l overnight. To do so, pour some storage solution into a separate beaker and let the electrode soak in it. Then store the electrode upright in the protective cap with storage solution, at 5 to 30 °C.

Store the solution in its original, tightly closed packaging, cool and dry at 15–25 °C, protected from frost and direct sunlight, and away from strong acids or oxidising agents.
