EC buffer solution 1413 and 12880 µS/cm for EC probe and EC meter

Conductivity standard is the buffer solution with which you calibrate an EC probe or EC meter. 1413 µS/cm for hydroponics, drinking water and ordinary handheld meters. 12880 µS/cm for the high range and the pool salt tester. In a swimming pool with salt electrolysis, the salt content must be right for chlorine production. Calibrate that meter with 12880 µS/cm.

EC buffer solution for hydroponics

For hydroponics, choose conductivity standard 1413 µS/cm; for the high range, choose 12880 µS/cm. If your meter calibrates in ppm with factor 0.5, use TDS calibration solution 3000 ppm. In the 20 ml sachet and in the 60 ml bottle, you place the EC probe directly in the solution.

Storing conductivity standard

Store the solution in its original, tightly closed packaging, cool and dry at 15–25 °C, protected from frost and direct sunlight, and away from strong acids or oxidising agents.
