12880 µS/cm EC calibration solution for EC probe, EC meter and pool salt tester

12880 µS/cm (12.88 mS/cm at 25 °C) is the calibration point for the high range and the pool salt tester. NIST traceable, certificate of analysis per lot and SDS available. Available in 250 ml, 60 ml and 20 ml.

First rinse the EC probe or the sensor of the salt tester with clean water. Always check the manual. EC probes are usually stored dry.

Conductivity standard 12880 µS/cm: sachet, small bottle or bottle

In the 20 ml sachet you place the EC probe directly: one sachet, one calibration. You buy the sachets per box of 25. If you calibrate occasionally, choose a small bottle of conductivity standard 12880 µS/cm 60 ml: you calibrate several times in the bottle itself, as long as the solution does not become contaminated. If you calibrate often, choose the conductivity standard 12880 µS/cm 250 ml and pour a fresh dose into a clean beaker each time. Our pool salt tester GT-500S is also calibrated with 12880 µS/cm.

Storing conductivity standard 12880 µS/cm

Store the solution in its original, tightly closed packaging, cool and dry at 15–25 °C, protected from frost and direct sunlight, and away from strong acids or oxidising agents.

Frequently asked questions about 12880 µS/cm

When 12880 µS/cm instead of 1413 µS/cm?

12880 for the high range and the pool salt tester. 1413 for hydroponics, drinking water and ordinary handhelds. The manual decides.

May I pour used 12880 µS/cm back into the bottle?

No, you may not; that contaminates the whole bottle. Pour a fresh dose into a clean beaker or glass, carry out the calibration and dispose of the remaining solution correctly.

Do I store the EC probe in 12880 µS/cm?

No. EC probes are usually stored dry. Buffer solution is for calibrating.

Is Meytec 12880 µS/cm NIST traceable?

Yes. Every lot has a CoA. SDS and CoAs can be found under Downloads.
