Salt tester GT-500S
The salt electrolysis system of a swimming pool only works optimally with the right salt level. The Meytec digital salt tester measures the salt level in your swimming pool, so that your installation can produce chlorine efficiently. IP65. Batteries 4× LR44 included.
With this salt tester you measure a salt content between 0–10,000 ppm or 0–10 grams per litre. This way you easily keep the salt content at the level your electrolysis requires, usually 3,000 to 5,000 ppm (3–5 g/l), or lower if your system is suitable for that. The exact range is in the manual of your electrolysis system.

Calibrating and maintaining the salt tester
A salt tester is a precision instrument. With the right care, the measurement stays accurate. The meter has automatic calibration — the device itself guides you through the procedure. Always calibrate before first use and regularly after that.
- Calibrate with conductivity standard 12880 µS/cm. Place the sensor in the solution and hold CAL down for 5 to 6 seconds. Wait until the value stops changing. Never pour used solution back into the bottle.
- Rinse the sensor with clean water after use. Demineralised water may be used for rinsing, never for storage.
- Store the meter dry, with the protective cap on the sensor. Screw the battery cap and sensor on tightly.
