ORP probe NXG-ORP

The Meytec NXG-ORP probe with gold sensor and BNC connector delivers stable and precise readings for your swimming pool with automatic dosing. Thanks to the gold sensor, this ORP probe is suitable for both chlorine dosing and swimming pools with salt electrolysis.

Thanks to the standard BNC connector, Ø12 mm and 3 metre cable, the ORP probe is compatible with brands such as Sugar Valley, Hayward, Zodiac, AstralPool, Bayrol, Hanna and Seko. Check that your device has a BNC input and accepts a 12 mm probe.

Calibrating and maintaining the NXG-ORP probe

Extend the quality of your ORP measurement and the service life by regularly calibrating and cleaning the ORP probe.

• Clean the ORP probe before calibration. Remove deposits and dirt with cleaning solution (max. 15 minutes). Then rinse. This keeps the measurement faster and more stable.
• Always store the ORP probe in the protective cap, filled with KCl storage solution 3 mol/l. Never dry. Never in demineralised water.
• Calibrate the probe regularly with the correct ORP buffer solution. Most swimming pool controllers ask for 475 mV. View our full range of ORP buffer solutions.

Installing the NXG-ORP probe

The NXG-ORP is resistant up to 4 bar and 80 °C. Do not run the BNC cable right next to heavy power cables: the measuring signal is sensitive to interference. Salt crystals on the protective cap on delivery are normal: rinse them off with clean water.

Calibration not working?

If calibration does not work, first try fresh buffer solution. If the probe has been stored dry, first place it overnight in KCl storage solution 3 mol/l. If it still does not work, replace the probe.
